Services · built on our own core banking system

Everything the bank does, in one ledger.

We did not license a platform. The bank runs on a core banking system of our own: 76 services across accounts, payments, SWIFT, custody, digital assets, treasury, lending and partner settlement, all booked in one double-entry ledger. Items marked pilot are built and tested against simulators; each goes live only once the bank holds the membership, account or agreement that network requires.

Accounts & deposits

Everyday and private banking in GBP, EUR and USD, with interest worked out to the penny every day.

  • Personal and business current accounts An 8-digit account number, a sort code and an IBAN, with a daily spending limit set per product.pilot
  • Multi-currency accounts Accounts in every currency the bank activates, with FX transfers between any two accounts at the bank’s rate less its spread.
  • Savings accounts Interest earned every day on the closing balance and paid monthly or quarterly.
  • Fixed-term deposits 1 to 120 months at a fixed rate, paid out with interest at maturity; an early break on approval returns the principal.
  • Arranged overdraft Up to a product limit, with interest accrued daily and charged at month end.
  • Daily interest exact to the penny Fractions of a penny are carried forward, so a year of daily accruals equals the annual amount exactly.
  • Statements and balances Ledger and available balances, statements for any period as CSV or JSON, and a daily interest history.
  • Account servicing Freeze with a reason, dormancy after inactivity, reactivation, fees, and closure with any balance moved to another account in your name.
  • Onboarding with screening A customer file for an individual or a company, with a recorded identity (KYC) decision and sanctions screening before any account opens.

Payments

Instant inside the bank, with UK schemes and SEPA in pilot, and every correction by reversal and never by edit.

  • Transfers inside the bank Payments to any account held here complete instantly; larger amounts wait for a second approver.
  • Standing orders Weekly to yearly, to an account here or at another bank, paid automatically at end of day.
  • Payments to other UK banks To a sort code and account number or an IBAN, debited into clearing, screened, then settled or returned by payment operations.
  • Faster Payments, Bacs and CHAPS through a sponsor bankpilot UK scheme payments out and in over a sponsor bank’s settlement account, with scheme windows, cut-offs and batch settlement.
  • SEPA and SEPA Instantpilot Euro payments from the bank’s accounts at a European e-money institution, with the rail chosen by currency and destination.
  • Named IBANs for customerspilot Your account can carry its own IBAN, and money paid to it is credited once it appears on a reconciled statement.
  • Payee name checkpilot The payee’s name is checked against the account before a payment leaves, and you are told whether it is a match, a close match or no match before you confirm.
  • Holds and authorisations Funds reserved on an account and later released, expired or captured, lowering the available balance in the meantime.
  • Incoming payments Credited to the matching account or held in suspense until operations apply or return them; duplicates are rejected.
  • Corrections by reversal A mistaken deposit, withdrawal, transfer, FX transfer or fee is corrected by an approved reversal, never by editing a record.

International & SWIFT

Cross-border payments in ISO 20022 and MT, with gpi tracking built in for when the bank joins SWIFT.

  • International paymentspilot To any bank with a BIC (SWIFT code) as an ISO 20022 pacs.008 or an MT103, with a choice of charge bearer, intermediary bank, purpose code and reference.
  • Incoming international paymentspilot Screened and credited to the beneficiary’s account, or held in suspense when the account cannot be identified.
  • SWIFT gpi trackingpilot Outgoing payments followed on SWIFT’s gpi Tracker by their unique transaction reference (UETR) for up to 30 days; incoming credits confirmed back.
  • Beneficiary pre-validationpilot The beneficiary’s bank, account and name checked through SWIFT’s pre-validation service before a payment leaves.
  • Recalls and returnspilot A payment already sent can be recalled with a stated reason on a second approval; payments received can be returned with an ISO reason code.
  • Bank-to-bank and cover paymentspilot Financial-institution transfers built as pacs.009 or MT202 and MT202 COV, with incoming ones recorded for treasury.
  • Correspondent bank network Correspondents per currency with their BIC, nostro account (the bank’s own account at that correspondent) and message format; a default correspondent routes each currency.
  • Nostro reconciliation Correspondents’ statements matched to the bank’s payments by transaction reference and amount; unmatched lines wait for operations.
  • Sanctions screening of every payment Payer, beneficiary and every bank in the chain screened at payment time; a hit holds the payment for compliance.
  • Message recovery Every message is handed to the SWIFT client at most once; a message whose fate is unknown waits for two people to resolve it.

Securities custody

Built to hold US securities in safekeeping at a custodian bank that settles at DTC, the US central securities depository, moving them only on the custodian’s confirmation; in pilot until a custodian is appointed.

  • Safekeeping at a custodian bankpilot Securities held in a safekeeping account in the bank’s name at a custodian settling at DTC, instructed over SWIFT in ISO 15022 or ISO 20022.
  • Customer securities accountspilot A securities account linked to your USD account, showing positions, reserved and available quantities and every movement.
  • Buy, sell and free-of-payment settlementpilot Receipts and deliveries against payment or free of payment, entered by an officer, approved by a supervisor and booked only when the custodian confirms.
  • Holdings reconciliationpilot The custodian’s daily holdings statement compared with the bank’s positions; every difference is raised as an exception with a documented resolution.
  • Custody cash and chargespilot Custodian cash lines claimed once against the bank’s instructions; custodian charges booked on two approvals; uploaded holdings files compared, never booked.
  • The bank’s own securities bookpilot Proprietary holdings carried at cost, with realised gains and losses booked on delivery.

Digital assets

Digital-asset accounts with every key held outside the bank and every move approved by two people.

  • Digital-asset accountspilot Accounts for Ethereum assets (ETH, USDC, USDT), Tron (TRX, USDT TRC-20) and Bitcoin, each with a balance, deposit address and statement.
  • Depositspilot A dedicated deposit address per network; a deposit is credited only once it is final on chain and every sender has been screened.
  • Withdrawals to approved addressespilot Only to an allow-listed address after a 24-hour cooling-off, approved by a second person and signed on a hardware wallet outside the bank.
  • Buy and sellpilot Against your own currency account at the bank’s rate, with a quote held for 30 seconds.
  • Address screening Every sender, destination and relayed address checked by exact match against the digital-currency addresses OFAC publishes and any the bank adds to its own list.
  • Treasury vaultpilot The bank’s own position held at average cost, bought from allow-listed providers and kept in a multi-signature vault (a Safe smart-contract wallet) controlled by hardware wallets.
  • Cancel and replacepilot A withdrawal already signed can be cancelled or replaced with a higher fee, with the cost shown and approved before it is signed again.
  • Incident handlingpilot Any unplanned movement from a bank address, a conflicting nonce or a mismatched transaction id is recorded as an incident and resolved under two-person control.
  • Stablecoin settlement for institutionspilot A partner funds its prepaid account by sending USDC or USDT to a bank address, bought at the bank’s bid and credited in currency.

Treasury & FX

The bank’s own rates, its connections to correspondent banks, and the general ledger behind everything.

  • Foreign exchange at the bank’s rates Convert between currencies at the bank’s latest rate less its spread, with the quote shown before the transfer posts.
  • FX rate desk Treasury sets rates per currency pair; a new pair or a move beyond tolerance needs a second supervisor.
  • Direct bank connectionspilot Connectors built to Citi’s and HSBC’s payment and reporting APIs, Deutsche Bank’s balance and statement API, and host-to-host ISO 20022 files in the formats Barclays, UBS and other correspondents accept; tested against simulators only, not yet connected to any bank.
  • Host-to-host file exchangepilot pain.001 payment files out; pain.002, camt.052, camt.053 and camt.054 reports back through the bank’s transfer agent.
  • Connection change control An administrator creates and tests a connection, a supervisor enables it with an approval pinned to the exact settings tested, and every routing change is approved.
  • Treasury currency exchangepilot Conversions between the bank’s own currency accounts at a firm quote within a worst acceptable rate approved by a second person.
  • SEPA direct debits on the bank’s accountspilot Collections listed as they arrive; operations reject before cut-off or ask for a refund afterwards.
  • Double-entry general ledger Every movement is one balanced journal entry per currency, enforced by the database, with a chart of accounts per currency and manual journals approved by a second person.

Lending

Loans quoted to the penny, approved by two people and collected automatically.

  • Loans An instant quote shows the instalment and the full repayment schedule; after a second approval the loan is paid into the repayment account.
  • Loan servicing Interest accrues daily, instalments are collected on their due date, arrears attract a late fee after the grace period, and early or full repayment is possible at any time.
  • Arrears, waivers and write-offs Loans classified by days past due; unpaid fees waived and bad loans written off, each on a second approval.

Business & partner services

An API for connected companies and a settlement service for banks, e-money and payment institutions.

  • Partner API Your own API key with scoped permissions, granted customers, an IP allow-list and a rate limit, to read accounts, transactions and statements.
  • Payment initiation by API Pay from a granted account to a UK account, an IBAN or a SWIFT beneficiary, under the same approvals as staff, with an idempotency key so a retry never pays twice.
  • Signed webhooks Up to 10 HTTPS endpoints receive HMAC-SHA256 signed events for payments, credits and debits, retried with backoff.
  • OpenAPI 3.1 documentation Two public OpenAPI documents describe the partner and staff APIs so developers can generate clients and test against them.
  • Prepaid settlement accountspilot Banks, e-money and payment institutions hold a prepaid account that never goes below zero and settle their payments from it.
  • Settlement instructions by signed JSON or ISO 20022 filepilot Ed25519-signed JSON or signed pain.001 and pacs.008 files, answered with pain.002 and pacs.002 status reports.
  • Prepaid account reportingpilot Balances, limits, camt.053 statements for any closed business day and camt.054 notifications for every posting.
  • Returns and payoutspilot A credit returned in full within 10 business days; payouts to registered accounts requested and approved by two different supervisors.
  • Confidential compliance No screening reason or internal note ever reaches a partner’s API; a payment held for review looks like any payment still in progress.

Control, compliance & operations

Two people on every sensitive action, a ledger that cannot be edited, and a private AI assistant for staff.

  • Four-eyes approvals Withdrawals, transfers, payments and FX above a threshold, and always reversals, overdraft limits, loan disbursements and write-offs, wait for a different person with the right role.
  • Six staff roles Teller, officer, supervisor, auditor, administrator and compliance separate who can move money, who approves and who manages users.
  • Tamper-evident audit log Every change recorded with who, when and from where in an append-only, SHA-256 hash-chained log that can be verified at any time.
  • Sanctions screening Customers, payments and banks screened against the UK, US OFAC, EU and UN lists, downloaded from their publishers every day, plus the bank’s own watch-list; any list of names can be checked on demand.
  • List change control An update that only adds names loads at once; one that removes names waits for compliance; a list more than 10% smaller is refused and recorded.
  • Compliance queue Screening hits wait for the compliance role to release, reject or freeze, with name-match clearances valid for 12 months and neutral wording shown to customers.
  • End-of-day processing Closing the business date runs interest, loan collections, standing orders, maturities, fees, dormancy, hold expiry and reconciliation in one all-or-nothing transaction, with a year-end close to retained earnings.
  • Financial reports Trial balance, balance sheet, income statement, deposit summary, loan portfolio with arrears and portfolio at risk over 30 days, reconciliation and a full ledger check.
  • Configurable products Administrators define current, savings, term-deposit and loan products, with their rates, fees, limits and terms.
  • Staff back office A web application that shows each user only what their role allows, across customers, accounts, approvals, reports, compliance, SWIFT, connections and custody.
  • Private on-server AI assistantpilot Staff ask questions in plain words and attach receipts, invoices and statements; the model runs on the bank’s own server, reads only what the role may see, and prepares operations that run only when staff confirm.
  • Data retention Expired sessions, keys and idempotency records removed after 30 days and payer details stripped from stored webhook bodies, while journals, payments and the audit log are kept permanently.

Payments

Every rail, one instruction.

You name the payee and the amount. The bank chooses the rail, screens the payment against sanctions lists and follows it to the beneficiary’s account. UK schemes will be reached through a sponsor bank and the world through correspondent banks; every rail below is in pilot until those agreements are in place.

Rails marked “pilot” have been tested against simulators and open once the bank is live on each scheme.

Security

Built like a bank’s back office, because it is one.

The controls below are not marketing. They are how the ledger behind this bank works, for staff as much as for clients.

I

Four eyes on everything that moves money

A payment above the threshold, a new payee, a limit change or a bank connection is prepared by one person and approved by another. One login cannot do both.

II

Keys outside the bank

Digital-asset withdrawals are signed on a hardware wallet that the bank’s servers never hold, and the treasury vault is a multi-signature Safe owned by hardware wallets. A stolen password moves nothing.

III

Sanctions screening on every payment

Payer, beneficiary and every bank in the chain are checked against the UK, US OFAC, EU and UN lists before a payment leaves. A hit holds the payment and raises it to compliance.

IV

An audit trail nobody can edit

Every action, by whom, when and from where, is appended to a hash-chained log that is never rewritten. End of day reconciles the ledger against the statements the correspondent banks send.

V

Your data stays yours

No advertising, no selling of transaction data. Encryption in transit and at rest, with keys held by the bank, not a vendor.

Opening an account

Four steps, none of them slow.

A personal account is designed to open in minutes. Business and treasury accounts take a little longer because the bank checks the company and the people behind it.

Account opening is not open yet.Applications start at launch. Leave your details through the enquiry form and we will tell you when the doors open.

Apply

Name, address and contact details. For a company, its registration number and the directors.

Verify

Identity and address checks through a verification providerat launch, and sanctions screening of every name before an account can open. Companies add proof of ownership.

Fund

Your account details are issued when the account opens. Pay in from your existing bank by Faster Payments, SEPA or SWIFT once each rail is live.pilot

Bank

Pay, save, convert and hold assets from the day the account opens. The gold card follows at launch.
